About Us
Over 18 years serving the community and introducing them to Chinese Traditional Massage and Footspa
MuZu has been serving people with luxury Chinese Spa treatments for over three decades and has a loyal following of clients who understand the benefit of traditional Chinese soothing herbal footbaths and Tui Na massage treatments that stimulate the flow of energy through the body along the unseen lines called meridian in Chinese traditional medicine.
From 2004 Ching Wang operated the MuZu Spa at 135 Hereford Street in the heart of the Christchurch CBD, behind big wooden double doors that, when you opened, you stepped into a luxurious world of a Chinese footspa for health and wellbeing.
As many of us will recall, on 21 February 2011, a devastating 6.3 magnitude struck Christchurch her place of business became a casualty of this natural disaster and was in the CBD red zone, which was a no go zone for over two years to the people of Canterbury.
With lightening efficiency and resilience, Ching relocated to 109 Matipo Street in Riccarton and was able to continue her treatments as she realised many people would be suffering from the trauma of the natural disaster and would need her services in the area of stress and anxiety recovery and also a place for some me time when all about you was in disarray.
The health and wellbeing reputation of MuZu FootSpa at the Matipo Street location has grown. Today it is recognised by its clientele as a place for destressing from the modern, fast-paced life we lead. For many, it is now a place for recovery from the impacts of the Covid pandemic on the body and mind.
