Seasonal allergic rhinitis, also known as ‘hay fever’, is a type of inflammation in the nose that occurs when the immune system overreacts to allergens. Pollen, dust mites and grass cause the typical triggers of hay fever.

The most common symptoms include a runny or stuffy nose and uncontrollable sneezing. People may also suffer from red and irritated eyes. Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicines have been shown to be safe and effective treatments for the relief of seasonal hay fever symptoms.
Generally, for the beginning treatment programme, a client will need acupuncture two times a week.
After 2-3 weeks, the treatment programme becomes once a week for a further 3 to 4 weeks. You will have between acupuncture 6-10 acupuncture treatments. We will do acupressure to support your ongoing treatment and show you how to use the acupressure techniques.
